I am always looking for inexpensive, but entertaining stories to read on my Kindle. I was caught in this series by one of the free books and decided to go ahead and read the rest since the book was good and the price was right on the other books. This one is my favorite in the series so far which is unusual in a way because many times the first book in a series is the best, not the fifth. The story is about a young girl, Kim, battling cancer and her older sister, Grace, who is battling with life's struggles that have touched them both. Grace is trying to make the most of Kim's time left. Greg and Joe, the stories heroes, are truly that despite Greg's flaws (of course, there had to be something wrong with him!) The story is touching and reminds the reader of the battles that are fought with cancer and how they can teach you the sorrows and joys of life. I am looking forward to the sequel to this one. The author gives you a sneak peak at Kim's life ten years from now with a couple of the book's chapters at the end. I did miss the interaction with previous characters. It was there, but very brief and it kind of made the book lose it's connection to the rest of the series, but it does a great job standing alone as its own story. If you like a good story with some twists and turns along with a happy ending, then this one is for you. As for the series, there is an anthology of books 1-4 in the Silver Springs Contemporary series for a good price instead of purchasing each individually.Product details

Enjoyed the story... like the connection to the past in all of the Silver Springs Contemporay Series. Good clean read which is much appreciated.
This book gave a look at a child's illness and how it brought four people together who then found unexpected love, faith, and hope.

This is a book to be read by those who are facing Hodgkins . At times it is sad, but well worth reading.
The author should have all these books in the series turned into movies that is how good these books are once you pick them up you can't put them down until they finished.
brings the sadness and pain of cancer
Kinda-sorta sister has a baby with her kinda-sorta brother as the father they kinda-sorta have in common force them into a marriage neither of them wanted... And he does it from beyond the grave. Spooky. Toss in a nephew-brother meets aunt-sister for added fun. Additionally everyone is dying or has died of some sort of cancer, but it's okay 'cause two owls will save the kittens--after hiking a glacier and kayaking. Confused yet? Well backstage passes to see a boy band will surely make everyone feel better, unless they're busy fighting a forest fire for 13 days. Ah, just buy the book. It's not easy to explain, but the story is good.
Grace Cooper is determined to give her young, dying half-sister, kim, as much of a life as possible. Kim desperatily needs another bone marrow transplant, but no blood relatives are available to donate. Grace and Kim arrive in Silver Springs, Montana to fulfill a promise to contact Kim's half brother, Greg Cooper. Reluctantly, Greg admits the blood ties to Kim and is drawn to follow the sisters to offer his bone marrow if it matches. Kim finally submits to the painful and expensive lifesaving treatment. Greg and Grace marry to provide insurance and moral support for the grueling ordeal of bone marrow transplant. Kim fills her hours of isolation by writing a story of two lost kittens protected by an owl. Intrigued by Kim's story, reporter, Jason Green, arranges professional contacts to publish the book. Grace and Greg find not only strength and support during a difficult medical emergency, but also love and peace to build a family.
